I’ve decided to dedicate a day on the blog to talking about fitness. I’m not sure what it’s going to look like from week to week but I think by talking about it I’ll be able to help myself stick to my goal of working out “consistently” in 2013. Feel free to shoot me an email or leave a comment if you have anything you’d like to learn more about (like I want to learn more about Crossfit so expect a post on that coming soon!)
Over the past year my motto has been “don’t start something I can’t do for the rest of my life”. I think that my routine right now is very maintainable and I’m happy with that. Currently, I’m cycling for 40-
60 minutes 2-3 times per week and doing a 20 minute free weight routine 1-2 times. I’m being flexible with myself and giving myself permission to do the workouts when I feel like it as long as I get in 4-6 sessions each week. With this approach, I feel like I’m setting myself up to succeed. I think setting oneself up for success is key because exercise should be about making ourselves feel good, not adding another source of stress to our lives, right?
This week I did:
Monday: Weights
Wednesday: Cycling
Friday: Weights
Saturday: Cycling *scheduled*
4 workouts = success, yuppie!
Do you workout? If so tell me about your routine, are you happy with it?

That’s a great motto! looks like a good week, well done lovely!
